Our Story
Mukai Electric is proudly owned and operated by Sean and Sara Mukai, a husband-and-wife team who are deeply rooted in the Pacific Northwest. “Mukai” is a Japanese name meaning “across the street,” a fitting reflection of our commitment to serving our neighbors, our community and the people just across the street from where we work and live. As a local, family run business, community connection is at the heart of everything we do.
After marrying in 2023 and welcoming their first son in 2024, they launched Mukai Electric in 2025 with the shared vision of elevating the standard of electrical service throughout Western Washington. Sara grew up in Kirkland and Sean in Bothell, and together they’ve built their life – and now their business – right here at home.

Sean brings over a decade of hands-on construction experience, from framing houses and finish work carpentry to becoming a licensed 01 Journeyman Electrician qualified to work on both residential and commercial projects. His dedication, attention to detail, transparency, integrity and genuine care for his clients set the foundation for the quality and professionalism Mukai Electric is known for.

Sara’s background is in sales and HR – with her operational leadership and customer focused approach, Mukai Electric blends craftsmanship and clarity to deliver exceptional electrical work that’s safe, reliable and built to last.
